Our Competences

Podiatry

Podiatry is the non-medical treatment of the foot, with the term being derived from the Greek words podos for “foot” and logos for “teaching/knowledge”.

The job title is protected. In order to be allowed to use the title “podiatrist” or “medical foot care specialist”, a two-year full-time training course (or three years part-time) followed by a state examination must be completed.

The training includes approximately 2000 hours of theory and 1000 hours of practical instruction, including in podiatric and medical practices.

Since 2002, podiatrists have been defined as a medical specialist and non-medical health profession under the Podiatrists Act (PodG). They are therefore providers of medicinal products.

Sectoral Healing Practice

As alternative practitioners limited to the field of podiatry (sectoral alternative practitioners), we are permitted to accept patients independently and bill private health insurance companies or patients directly for the corresponding services within the law (§1 HPG).

The practice of medical activities in the field of podiatry is only permitted to persons with a permit in accordance with Section 1 HPG, i.e. doctors, alternative practitioners and alternative practitioners in the field of podiatry.

If the illness falls within the podiatric area, we can diagnose and treat the illness. We are also authorized to issue private prescriptions.

Expert Medical Foot Care

The majority of German citizens are increasingly suffering from foot problems of all kinds. However, only a few people know that professional and, above all, expertly performed medical foot care or podiatric treatment can alleviate their symptoms and eliminate the cause.

In our practice in Stuttgart-East, which is also easily accessible for customers from Stuttgart-Central, -North, -West and -South, we demonstrate customer proximity and provide you with detailed information about the most suitable therapy option and give tips for better and more intensive care of your feet.

Care for Feet

The most common problems include ingrown or brittle nails, fungal nails, pressure points, corns, excessive calluses and cracked skin. Apart from the fact that all of these problems can cause pain and limit mobility, they often lead to secondary damage with even worse effects. In our practice, we work according to the most up-to-date therapy methods and can often resolve existing foot problems and alleviate discomfort.

Even if you don't have any noticeable foot problems yet, regular foot care and preventative treatment is a good idea. Only healthy feet offer unrestricted mobility and are important for your well-being.
